Ponce De Leon came to Florida looking for a fountain of youth, Mistah F.A.B. came looking for a fountain of beats but came up with fire instead. The journey began in Atlanta, GA at the finals of Red Bull Big Tune Producer Battle. The finalists were a product of several country wide competitions which served to narrow the field down to the next generation of hit producers. In the crowd were the attentive ears of Mistah F.A.B. on the search for fire beats for what will be hailed as his best mix tape to date "Prince of the Coast." http://mistahfab.bandcamp.com/
As the battles ensued Mistah. F.A.B.'s ears perked up every time he heard Fourth Quarter producer Johh McCall (aka J-Mac) step on stage. When it was time for J-mac to drop his next beat he would hear the familiar tag "It's Fourth Quarter time!" and sick beat after sick beat would follow. Mistah. F.A.B. made his way to J-Mac after the competition and asked if Fourth Quarter would be willing to be part of his next project claiming he loved the Fourth Quarter sound.
J-Mac and Fourth Quarter Music Director, Mike Ramsey, quickly got to work putting together a portfolio of beats that suited Mistah F.A.B.'s style. Immediately upon sending the beats Mistah F.A.B. hit the studio producing two hits entitled "Know What They Want" and "Where I'm at" featured on the mix tape.
Fourth Quarter recently found out that Mistah F.A.B. recorded another song over a Fourth Quarter track so be sure to stay tuned for its future release. "It was a pleasure to link up with Mistah F.A.B., he's a very humble and down to earth guy that works extremely hard on his craft and that's just the kind of people we look forward to working with during our journey through the industry," says Michael Ramsey. From Oakland to Orlando, O-town is making itself heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cizwMZGwJ20
